Board Chair | CEO, All Web Leads

Bill is the current Chair of Side by Side Kids. He joined the board in June 2008 and most recently served as the Chairman of the Love More Kids Expansion Campaign Committee.

Bill and his wife, Laurel, have lived in Austin since 1999 after 19 years in the San Francisco area. They have two children with spouses and four grandchildren who live in New York and Virginia. Bill and Laurel are members of Lake Hills Church.

Bill Daniel is currently the CEO of All Web Leads (AWL.) AWL is one of the most successful customer acquisition marketing companies in the US. AWL uses online marketing to turn consumer interest in insurance products into policy sales for the world’s largest insurance carriers and more than 30,000 of their agents. From a 2-person startup in 2005 to over 600 employees in 2015, AWL remains a tight-knit team with a fast paced, energetic, and entrepreneurial company culture ranked #20 by Glassdoor in their 2015 Best Places to Work in the U.S.

Vice Chair | CEO, XchangeLabs

Joel is a follower of Christ and he and his family reside in Austin and attend Austin Ridge Bible Church - Southwest. He is married to Sara and they have three children, Maxwell, Sophie and Simon.

Professionally Joel has spent twenty-five years in the healthcare and medical technology fields. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of XchangeLabs, a healthcare software company.


Secretary | Attorney, Vinson & Elkins LLP

Taylor joined the board in November 2017. A native Austinite, Taylor grew up in some of Austin’s public schools. He and his wife Erin have two boys – Jimmy (3) and John David (1). They have been active members of All Saints Presbyterian Church for the last decade.

Taylor is an administrative and environmental lawyer at Vinson & Elkins LLP, an international law firm based in Houston, Texas. He helps clients develop and permit domestic energy projects and represents clients before many of Texas’s administrative agencies. Taylor previously served on the West Lake Hills City Council.

Taylor holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. from Texas A&M University.

Treasurer | Principal Consultant, MW4 Consulting

Michael began serving on the board in November 2008. Michael served as Vice Chairman in 2009 and 2010, and as Chairman in 2011 and 2012. Currently, he serves as the Treasurer.

Michael was born and raised in Northern California, and has an undergraduate degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Michael moved with his family to Austin in 1997. He and his wife of 31 years, Ann, have two children, Brian, 27, and Lauren, 24. The Watt family are members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Michael has served on the Church Council, as well as the Finance and Stewardship committees. He was also on the Call Committee responsible for bringing in the new Senior Pastor, who is replacing the original Senior Pastor after 35 years of service. In his spare time, Michael likes to be outside and moving – especially golfing, biking, swimming and snow skiing.

Board Member | Partner, Vianovo

Mike joined the board in 2010 and has served as Chair (2013-2015, 2017-2018), Vice Chair (2011-2013) and head of the Development Committee (2010-2013). He was a Side by Side volunteer tutor in 2006-2007 and has been involved in afterschool programs in several other cities.

A native Texan, Mike grew up in Houston. He and his wife Brooke moved to Austin from Chicago in 2006 and have three daughters – Grace (11), Mercy (9) and Bella (5). They are active members of All Saints Presbyterian Church.

Mike is a partner at Vianovo, a management consultancy that advises companies and causes on brand, public policy and crisis issues. He previously worked for the Boston Consulting Group and is a veteran of two winning presidential campaigns and the White House staff. He began his career in corporate finance. Mike’s writings on the “politics of brands” have been featured in the L.A. Times, Washington Post and National Journal. Mike holds an MBA from the Kellogg School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University.


Curriculum Committee | Emeritus Professor, UT Austin

Martha began serving on the Board since 2008. Currently, she is Chair of the Program and Curriculum Committee.

Martha has lived in Austin since 1988. She is originally from Bolivia where she grew up and lived until she was 29 years old. She initially attended the Sucre Teachers College in Bolivia, graduating as an Elementary School Teacher. Later, as an Agency for International Development Fellow, she graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. She also graduated from the University of Utah, obtaining a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. She and her daughter, Mayté Antelo-Ovando, a School Psychologist, make a great traveling team and enjoy music and dance. In her spare time, Martha attends St. Catherine of Siena Parish and enjoys knitting with The Shawl Ministry.

Board Member | Desktop Publisher

Diane began serving on the board in November 2010 and has been the Secretary since 2013. She has been volunteering at Community New Start since 2005 and has served as a liaison between CNS/SBSK and Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church since then.

Diane has been married to Kerry Pollard since 1996 when they combined their six kids ages 7-16. Now they’ve added a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and three grandchildren. She and Kerry have facilitated DivorceCare for eight years and have been involved in Pilgrimage, a ministry of WHPC, for 16 years. She served as Moderator of Pilgrimage in 2012. Diane is Chair of the Board of Governors for Barton Creek Country Club, a past president of the Women’s Golf Association and two-time winner of the Ladies Club Championship. Diane’s passion for golf is only exceeded by her love for Christ!

Love More Kids Committee | Board Director

Jim has more than 25 years experience in CEO, COO, CFO and board director positions in high-growth technology companies.

Currently, Jim serves on several boards, including Director of Q2 Holdings (NYSE:QTWO), a developer and provider of online banking software and services to community banks and credit unions, Director of DISCO, a venture backed provider of ediscovery solutions for law firms, corporations and government agencies, and advisory board member of CognitiveScale, a venture backed developer and provider of augmented intelligence software for financial services, healthcare and digital commerce markets. He is the former chairman of the board of TraqWireless and a former board member of FuelQuest and Pervasive Software.

Jim served as CFO of Bazaarvoice from 2013 until its acquisition by Marlin Equity Partners in early 2018. Before joining Bazaarvoice, he served as CFO at Convio Inc., where he guided the company through three acquisitions and an initial public offering.
